Superb realism Daran, I feel like I want to take one of those shells out of the rack and shove it into the breach and I can almost smell the oil, diesel and cordite fumes!! Cool Drool ThumpUp

Keep up the great work my friend, a fine piece of engineering!!

Thanks for the comment Kev, think there may be a battle in the display case with the Tiger and the T34/85!!LOL LOL
Breach and barrel are now fitted to the upper hull, just the shells to paint and fit, bit of dusty stuff and then I can glue the 2 halves together!!BigGrin BigGrin

I do like old CD cases, they are perfect supports and turntables, makes turrets so much easier to work on!!LOL BigGrin Although there are not many parts left to fit, there is still loads to do.BigGrin Next up is to use some Mr Surfacer and mould the weld seam where the turret halves join, then onto the cupola and hatches.BigGrin

Well thats about it for now. The cupola and hatches are painted and fitted, and i have shaded some of the turret. There was a horrible gap around the cupola where it joins the turret, so this is now in the process of being filled. Once dry, sanded and painted I can carry on with the weathering and detailing.

Some more progress made. Aircraft recognition stripes are done, coat of Klear next, then the decals. Another coat of Klear to seal them, and then on with the weathering!!!!

Decals done with paint runs, and not evenly spaced from side to side to make it look like they were field applied.

This is amazing and inspiring work. I think I'm learning something with your every update, and can't wait to try some of the ideas myself.

Thank you for looking in and your kind words Trev, I am by no means an expert at the painting, I just go with the flow and it seems to work, if others have benefited from my advice and my builds, then I am pleased to have been of help to them.BigGrin BigGrin
