I know this is a stupid question but here goes. I have just purchased a 1/144 scale model of titanic from billing boats. This is my first wood model build and am wondering what type off glue is best for building the ships keels, fixing the planking, decks etc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi Shaun I generally just use Aliphatic glue for wood now as it soaks into the joints making a stronger bond than normal PVA glue, link below to CMB http://www.cornwallmodel...es%2ehtml%23a1016#a1016
You may get it cheaper on flee-bay, but remember that buying a 5 lt bottle is only a saving if you are going to use it up quickly as its shelf life is around 12 months Regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
