Malcolm A lovely job you have made on your build . I feel for your concerns over the decalling but sure you will breeze through this with no major issues. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Happy Modelling

Great job Malc and as long as you take your time you should have no problems with adding the decals. Spencer

Not had any time this week to do much with the decals. Did make a start though on the side panels. The thick black lines look like a really neat way to tidy up the fit of the panels. RM1 attached the following image(s):

haven't had much time to spend on the build lately but today I did the side decals. Quite pleased with the result. These decals seem to be quite tough so I'm preparing myself for that nose cone piece which looks like it will need a lot of softner!RM1 attached the following image(s):

At last got to the stage that was worrying me the most...the nose decal ! Seems to have gone ok with the help of some softner These decals do seem good quality and quite tough.RM1 attached the following image(s):

A few more decals on the front end.RM1 attached the following image(s):

Spent an hour or so this afternoon with a few more of the decals. Also added the Johnnie Walker logos to the mirrors RM1 attached the following image(s):

Very neat and tidy work with your decals. Can make or break a model but your patience has paid off and it looks brilliant. Happy Modelling

Just a final note in the build diary. My daughter surprised me with this 1/4 scale steering wheel ( Lotus 2014 ) so I made a display case for it and the Mclaren 2008 Steering wheel that came with the kit. RM1 attached the following image(s):

Very nice Malc and what a loving daughter you have - I bet you were well chuffed with your present!?
Love the case as well, with the carbon fibre effect, it looks very cool.

Thanks Kev. It's amazing to see the difference between the technology of 2008 and that of 2014. A quarter scale replica of the 1973 M23 would be the most boring thing ever ! A wheel with one switch. Malc.
