Well I am now ready to continue the build. Pic shows hull to date and 8 sets of parts cleaned up and ready to go. Should be a fun weekend.

Have now completed all current issues (up to 19). The only alteration I had to make was to cut down one of the longer bolts the size of the smaller ones due to the changes made for the torpedo room enhancement. It is now a lot more rigid and looks like a sub.

Nice work Graeme and really taking shape now. I hope you have a wide display area to put this in when it's finished, it is certainly lengthy!?

Thanks for the comments guys. Kev, yes she is long but not too wide so not as difficult to find a place for as it will be for the Victory!!

I have now got the hull fixed to the base board to keep her straight and have started drilling out the vents in the plastic bow pieces - a slow process but worth it I think.

It`s definitely worth it!
Easy to say for me, not even having got one of those parts, where drilling is required :)

Following your build with great interest,

DaDokta

Hi Graeme, superb work on drilling out those vents, certainly looks as if it was very delicate and time consuming work and the results speak for themselves....Drool Drool .. Very well done...

Thanks for the comments guys. Have finished the vents in one side although it still needs a little fine tuning.

Well done, Graeme!

I just wanted to mention that i read in a german build diary, that the foremost bolt at the torpedo-section had to be removed when installing the torpedo-tubes, which was very challenging with the hull almost closed at that point.

German Forum

So maybe we should leave that bolt away in the first place?

Just a suggestion.

DaDokta
