Hi Cliff

Looks good so far. I like the puddening and seizing on the anchor ring, who thought of that I wonder?

You obviously have issues 1 and 2. Could you let me know when you placed your order and was it starting at issue 1 or 2?

I subscribed starting at issue 2 and so far haven't heard when parts will be dispatched.

Mike T

P.S. Haven't forgotten HMS Halifax will get a build for her up on the forum shortly.

Sorry the photo's are not clearer but there is no zoom facility on my phone.I subscribed the day before the 1st mag went in the shops and it was posted on the 25th ,i received 1 & 2 with binder last saturday . By the way the puddening and seizing was a bit fiddly but worth the effort, hopefully get it better next time, cheers cliff.

Cliff,

The puddening looks great, I'm planning on doing similar so can I ask what thickness of thread you used to do the puddening?

Cheers,
David

Yup, all looks to be well with your build. ThumpUp

I can't help but comment on the photo's though - you need more light.

Whilst photography is a hobby in itself and can become quite complex, rather than fiddling about with shutter speeds and aperture sizes you could just get a couple of daylight bulbs (see page 6 of the brushworks thread) and most photo issues will be resolved immediately - your camera will find it easier to focus, those dark, shadowy areas will be banished and your work will be revealed in all its glory.

That's the planking on the launch finished and a couple of coats of sanding sealer applied.

That's a nice tidy launch Cliff.

Well done, you managed to judge it right with just one stealer in the middle.

We can now look forward to the next steps, following Tomick's lead I guess.

Hi Cliff

Take a look at the official Victory web site

Colour Scheme

and they look like this:

Ships Boats

It should be noted that the colour scheme for ship's boats did vary from time to time, depending upon what paints the boatswain might have had at his disposal or what the dockyard would issue.

I've gone as far as i can on the hull build at the moment just waiting for my next pack.I've added in verticle supports to the middle gundeck crossbeams to give them a bit more strength and i need to paint the areas where the gun ports will be black.
