Thanks kev, I agree with you, although I don't think I will attempt anything else with respect to painting, I wanted to repaint the the car in chrome but thought against it after I messed up the front wing, did you have a build diary on here a while ago? With the helmet etc? I remember seeing 'kevs build' and it was deleted or taken down?

Sounds good Mark and some of those 'game' paints (am I right in thinking you mean Citadel?) are really useful especially the metallics. I remember myself how much fun it was doing the heat effect on the exhausts and you'll know exactly what I mean when I say that when it comes right it is so satisfying!!
Keep up the good work, I hadn't noticed your build before but I'll be watching your diary from now on!!

That's right, I saw a tutorial on YouTube on painting burnt iron and I just used the same colours, thanks kev, glad my hard work is appreciated, :)

Kev, did you have a McLaren build diary on here where you added loads of detail to it?

I did Mark, I started building the MP4/23 when it was first released (why I joined the forum) and my username used to be 'SennaMentalMe' then but I lost all of the photos when they suddenly inexplicably disappeared from my Photobucket account and stupidly I didn't have them backed up anywhere?! My build diary and 'Finished Build' Gallery topics have been deleted since as they didn't make any sense without any photos and I also have a new username now anyway? I also built my own Hamilton 1:8 Helmet as well to go with it - with some much appreciated decals courtesy of Spencer (Warthog). Thanks again for that Spencer.
Shame to lose the photos of my build like that really but that's life sometimes.

Well if it makes you feel better kev the only reason I started this build and 99 percent of the inspiration came from your build,
So thank you, I have been wanting to speak to you for ages because your build was incredible!!!
