Thanks to everyone for your kind words.
Yes, I must admit it was fun. I tried using a product called scenic rust but alas I found it didn't work too well.Cursing What I did have success with, was the hairspray method, the base coat being enamel and top coat acrylic with some salt thrown in.BigGrin I also used pastel chalks quite extensively too.
