White is really an awkward colour to work with. I've realized that with all the additional bits of wiring and pipes and fitting of the cowl, I have made a mess of the bodywork paint. Especially on the side pod area. After a lot of masking, plastic bags etc I managed to restore the finish. Phew.. Lesson to be learned there ! Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

I used a coiled wire to attach to the steering wheel switch. Cockpit detail finished. RM1 attached the following image(s):

That airbox looks perfect Malc and nice to see that you've got the correct one, not the incorrect type that was supplied with the kit. I see you've finished the cockpit surround and fitted the mirrors now as well? What a brilliant end result my friend and that black edge with the rivets just takes it up a notch - well done, great work all round. I love it!!
Looking forward to seeing the decals applied.

I've made a start on the decals, trying to replicate the Hulme car as it made its debut at Kyalami. There's a couple of good decal sheets that I got from Mac's models. In looking at the few photos that I can find, I see that It didn't have the front wing endplates ! Oh. well, I like the look of them . More importantly the original wing mirror brackets are nothing like the PE parts in the kit. . Not sure what I'd do with the holes in the screen if I change the arrangement. Will post more pics as the finishing progresses. Malc.RM1 attached the following image(s):

You're doing a fabulous job with this build Malc and the decals look superb!!
I wouldn't worry too much about the slight inaccuracies with the mirrors and front wing endplates, just build it how you want it and to be honest back in the '70s, Formula One was more of a 'make do and mend' scenario where parts were cobbled together from what was around and fitted to the car as and when needed, so who's to say that what you have on yours wasn't ever done that way?
Looking good my friend, nearly there now, so what's next in your pit garage then Malc?
