Hi all well this has been in a cupboard for past 11 years, I thought it bout time it saw the light of day and got built.I have built a few of these as use to be in display team with them.my painting cannot compete with a lot of models me see on here.but ill try me best.this will be an on off build as it not my main project.so progress will be slow at times.cheers and happy moddelling mick. mogwai attached the following image(s): Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank, built, Mclaren M P 4 - 23. Fantastic - that's two 1:16 R/C Tank builds we have on ModelSpace now and at this rate we'll have more heavy armour than the Bovington Tank Museum by the end of the year!!
Looking forward to seeing the build come together Mick and maybe you and Jase can re-enact the Battle of the Bulge when you're both finished??

Hi was gonna make a start today but sadly me thread lock gone off in the intervening years.see can get some from Diy store tomorrow. A know all about the sound effects the whiring and clanking of start up are fantastic.and the body shudder on firing main gun is so realistic.all other sounds are spot on.this one was bought for spares really for the team.and just got forgot about.need to replace machine gun, but that it really.there's room for model boat smoke units in the exhausts, as have done this on 2 previous tiger 1.this will get the same.this will be the 5th one I have made. As have done the tiger1 king tiger, shermans , and m26 pershing. In the tank team days.cheers and happy moddelling mick. Hi all finally made a small start.done the tension pullys, just make sure you make left and right hand as all the parts are the same.use the indentations on the brackets as a guide.the 16 arm supports are in.the track tensioners in and the torsion bar stays.screws with threadlock applied have also been given a dab on exposed part of screw for extra security.enjoying this.cheers and happy moddelling mick mogwai attached the following image(s): Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank, built, Mclaren M P 4 - 23. Hi all first job of the day get bonkers off the box. Then put inner hull into outer hull , and put the suspension arms in.eh do mean be forceful, when putting these in.next job spend 2 days finding me brass etch I had bought for this all them years ago.and resin oil drums and fuel cans. How much I use depends what will fit, with all the gear inside.be my first adventure with etch, so should be fun.as there are around 1500 bits of it.cheers and happy moddelling mick. mogwai attached the following image(s): Builds hms victory, suzuki gsx 1300 R hayabusa, honda C B 750, lamborghini countach L P 500 S, tamiya 1/16 rc full option tiger 1 tank, built, Mclaren M P 4 - 23. You really don't get an appreciation of the size of these until you see the next to something like the 1/35 Tiger, your build is look good so far That's an awful lot of extras you've got there, really can't wait to see all this taking shape

Looks good Mick , lots of lovely extras too although I expect you will be avoiding any fragile sticky out bits of etch on this one due to the handling it's going to get. Steve

Hi think I'll use most of the etch.just have to be more carefull with me driving.as I want her to look the part on display to.just pass it off as battle damage if odd bit gets broken. main parts at use to get broke were fenders an mudguards, so being metal or plastic not really going to matter at much.only 52 pages of destructions with etch.at more than the kit.doh.cheers and happy moddelling mick.
