Hello
Just wanted to say that I am in the process of building the MP 4/4.
I have just finished pack 5 and I have to say it is a wonderful kit. I think it is every bit worth the money and even at this early stage I can see what it will look like. The only addition to the kit so far is the tobacco decals. I think they come eventually with the kit but it was easier to fit them to the rear wing during assembly.
I currently am building a range of Tamiya 1:12 F1 cars and have completed the McLaren M23, the Ferrari 312T , Ferrari F190 and currently the McLaren MP4/6. I still have the Williams FW14B to go.]

Fabulous work there Don, any shots of your McLaren M23 available, would love to see it? I particularly like your Ferrari 312T, lovely looking car and very well built by yourself! Drool Cool ThumpUp

Great to have another F1 fan on the forum and I hope that you find your stay here a very enjoyable one?

Hi,
Thanks for the welcome.
I think posting my build of the MP4/4 might be a bit repetitious as there is already some very fine work on here which I glean allot from.People asked me during competitions why I focused on Luftwaffe aircraft in late war. To me a SQDN of Spitfires all looked basically the same. Not saying they are a bad airframe, the sound of a Merlin engine is music but a line up of FW190 D9`s and you will see so many variations including recycled pieces of airframe and some parts not even painted.
I have another competition on March 28 so I should post the M23 picture then. My daughter has our camera and my phone is not ideal.
Anyway, thanks again.

Hi Don,
Welcome to the forum. That's a great looking Ferrari and I see that you have built a Mclaren M23. I'm just getting to the end of a Tamiya 1/12 M23 build and have the MP4/6 on my wishlist. Would love to see some pictures of your Mclarens.BigGrin

Hi,
I will see what I can do.
You know it is the Australian GP this Sunday so I will be getting all my chores done so I can sit down and watch it.
I hope Daniel Riccardos car is fixed in time and he wins or at least places. I think it was pretty raw that he lost his second place last year because his team stuffed up.
Bye for now.
