Hello Trev,

Lovely workmanship on those wings my friend, those ribs and spars all look beautifully neat and tidy as does the aluminium skinning. Masterful work - a top job mate.

I'll be watching and waiting for your next update with great anticipation!! Cool Drool ThumpUp

Very smart indeed. That is some real quality work you have put into the wing covering. Looks a difficult task but an excellent finish.

Happy Modelling

Andy,
The skinning was not as bad as I first thought, saying that I did have a few moments.

Tony,
I found at times it was a bit fiddly but as this has been my first attempt at metal covering I am pleased at the result.

UPDATE:SPITFIRE.
290315
ASSEMBLE WHEEL STRUTS.
ASSEMBLE WHEELS TO STRUTS.

A small update this will be the assemble of the struts and joints, although I have decided to leave the joint angle for a later date, reason is because I feel that I would like to see how the server will be aliened when fitted to the wing.

Struts and Joints.

This shows the angle I think the joints should be but not to sure prefer to wait until sure.

This picture shows M2 nut in place glued into the hole at the end of the strut.

Wheel undercarriage axle ready to be assembled.

This is the wheel assemble dry fitted but gives a good idea of how it will all go together.

Kind Regards.
Trev.

Coming along very nicely.

I saw at the outset you get a lighting set but did not know the wheels extend and retract. Some very nice detailing.

Hope the rest of the build goes well.

Happy Modelling

Hi Derek,
The struts and joints not only appear to be strong but they are, I still need to work on them regarding the finish to get them up to standard.
