I took my Red Bull 7 out for a test drive this weekend. Unfortunately it soon developed and issue with the drive shaft and like many other F1 cars this weekend had an early retirement. Should be an easy fix hopefully! It really handles a lot different to any other car I have which makes things driving it more exciting! Hi Kenjara, That looks like a lot of fun. Sorry to hear that you have an issue, but when sorted I`m sure you`ll have hours of fun. Also please post what the issue and cure are, in case anyone else may encounter a similar issue. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Well I found the problem easily enough. The brake was caught in the engaged position. I moved the level to free it but I need to find out why it got caught and make some adjustments. Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

I know why this happened now. When I popped out to give it a test drive / second tank of fuel its revs were higher than before. To compensate this at the time I closed the carb a bit via the controller. (Turned the dial left) This was enough to apply the brake something that slipped my mind at the time. What I should of done is adjust the carb gap with the tiny screw on the carb instead. This would of closed the gap without applying the brake. Well I found today that's not quite the end of the story. I have since closed the carb a little with the carb screw to align my carb opening / brake applying correctly. The root cause of this problem was actually the driveshaft. I took it out for a drive again and the same problem soon appeared. I found there was a little play where the two dogbones of the drive shaft join together. I could then reproduce and fix the problem by moving the shaft with my hands. With the shaft like this the rear section does not engage. With the shaft ends pushed close together then the shaft is fully engaged. What I did is loosen the grubscrew from the connector on the rear dogbone and re applied it as close as possible. This seems to have the issue but I have only so far had the chance to run it in my garden so hardly a proper test. Hopefully I'll get to give it a go next weekend when that paths of freetime and daylight next cross. A little thread lock fluid should stop the grub screw working loose.

It's tightened and thread locked now but I didn't get a chance to test it over the weekend due to the crappy weather. This one must of slipped past me as I have been thread locking most of the grub screws. Will have plenty of time to test this this weekend thanks to the bank holidays. Lets just hope the weather is good! Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Nice video :)
Its maybe the slick tyres, but the car, in this and other videos, always looks like its a bit of a handful.
Ive owned other Nitro RC's including the Schumacher Nitro fusion, a vehicle capable of speeds of 80MPH (I had the 50MPH gear set fitted) and it was massively more manageable than this looks. Again however, on that vehicle I did make sure I had a very soft compound of tyres. After a summer of running it, maybe only 6-7 times it needed new tyres.
