Hello all,

Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.
I'm Simon, from Chester (UK).
I'm waiting on my first bits to arrive... Spending time getting tools and consumables sorted...
Really looking forward to starting the build!
I'd been promising myself for ages I'd sign up for this kit, and now's the time BigGrin
I've loved this car since I was 9, and been a Senna fan since before I can remember.
My favourite memory is when I went to Donington in 1993. A very special race, I hope you'll agree!
I have very little experience of modelling... A Mini, an Alfa Romeo and a Night Rider Trans-am many, many moons ago spring to mind ha.
I've been lurking on here since the weekend, looking at your builds... They look amazing! Hope I can do it justice...
I will no doubt be asking lots of questions, so please go easy on the newbie BigGrin

Cheers,
Si

Hi Si

Welcome to the forum, I don't have that kit myself but it does look fantastic and I'm sure you will enjoy building it.

Hope to see a build diary when you get started Cool lots of talented people on here that are more than willing to give any tips if needed

A warm welcome to Modelspace Si BigGrin

You've certainly made a great choice and one any Senna or MP4/4 fan shouldn't pass up. Enjoy your build and feel free to add a build diary in the Members build forum.

Welcome Simon! Hope you have fun in your build.

You were at Donington in '93? OMG. So you witnessed "from 5th place to 1st" on the 1st lap right?!!! He was the greatest!! and the undisputed greatest driver of all time in the rain!!

Hi,
Thank you all for the very warm welcome BigGrin

I'm enjoying looking through all your builds, the model looks so detailed. I will try and do some detailing of my own, hopefully my results will add to the overall effect, not detract from it LOL

Yes, I did witness Senna's awesomeness BigGrin
I was 14, I'd saved up my pocket money to buy a ticket and the bus fare. Soaking wet, covered in mud, shivering... But wow, stood down past the old hairpin by the bridge, watching my hero make everyone else seem so ordinary! I remember so much cheering as he came through and when he came around next lap, reckon everyone knew we'd seen something special!

I will keep you all posted on my progress and post pics when I'm confident / satisfied enough with my results Wink
I'm now gonna study photos...

Thanks,
Si
