Does anyone have a closeup photo of the placement of the brake bleeder valves on a Mclaren MP4/4 brake caliper? Can't seem to find one anywhere. I've got the valves from RB Motion and need clarification.

Kev, look at Tomick's photos. The first one looks like 4 bleeders on top and AN fitting on the bottom of the caliper. Your photo looks like the rear with AN fitting on the bottoms. Then Tomick's 3rd photo looks like an inside shot with 2 banjo fittings in the middle of the caliper and what looks like to me a bleeder top and bottom, making me think are there 12 bleeders per wheel with needing a total of 48??

Hello Dave,
I think I've worked it out.
I have the Tamiya 1:20 MP4/4 with the 'Top Studio' Full-Detail set for it, which is very detailed and in the instructions there is a diagram of the layout of the brake pipes and their connections for front and rear brake assemblies. Rather than risk breeching any copyright by showing photos of the instructions, I have just done a couple of very quick sketches to explain how it should be - you can see them in the first two photos below?
The third photo shows the outside of the MP4/4 front brake/calipers and you can clearly see that it shows a bleed valve at the top corner of each caliper and a braided hose/banjo connection on the bottom corners? If you cross reference that to my second drawing you will see that the hose is passed through the caliper from the double banjo connection in the middle of the caliper and as it passes through the bottom of the caliper, it passes over a bleed valve on the bottom inside corner of the caliper and that there is a bleed valve on the top inside corner? From that and the layout of the pipes in my first drawing, you can deduce that Tomick's third photo HAS to be of the inside of a front caliper since the main feed pipe from the chassis is seen to enter the brake assembly on the lower wishbone, not the top as it would be on a rear brake assembly?
Therefore, if there are 3 x bleed valves on each caliper and 2 x calipers per brake assembly, that means you will need 6 x bleed valves per hub x 4 as there are 4 hubs and so you'll need 24 bleed valves for the whole car? Bingo!!

Beautiful drawings. Now I think I've got it now. 24 bleed valves. I see how the braided line goes THROUGH the bottom of the caliper. Now the fun part will be the installation.

Thanks for the compliment Dave, much appreciated, though they are hardly beautiful drawings, just some quick and quite rough pen sketches but they give an idea of what I'm talking about?
