Im putting the shrouds together and on page 11 there seems to be two mistakes step 18 Tomick has rectified in his blog measurement should be from the sheer pole. But Im not happy with the distance in step 20 it just doesn't look right. I think it should be more like 190mm and not 125mm what say you? Id like one of you experts to come back to me on this. Thanks jethro

Thanks jethro Hi Jethro, I would suggest you take a closer look at the instructions on page 11. You are correct in relation to the measurements being taken from the sheerpoles as outlined by Mr T in his official diary. I have looked at page 11 and this is what I see. Step 18 is for the foremast with a measurement of 150mm, step 19 is for the main mast with a measurement of 190mm and step 20, the one you refer to is for the mizzenmast with a measurement of 125mm. These measurements I have also checked on my build and found them to be correct. If you see a measurement for the mizzenmast as being closer to 190mm then I can only assume you do not have the mast fully seated down in its socket, after all the mast is on a much higher deck therefore the measurement has got to be smaller that the other masts.. Hope this helps but would also say, I did find your request for help to be somewhat on the abrasive side. Most members on here are not experts, they may be experienced but the important thing is they are always willing to render assistance when needed... Maybe it wasn't meant to be abrasive but it is just the way I read it to be.... Hope this answers your query... Regards Alan

A big thank you Gandale I see exactly what your saying, the bottom section of the mizzen mast is to tall. weather its not engaged correctly or its been made to long its got to come out to see. The shrouds will have to be cut but its lucky I never got further than that jeff
