Hey all I tried to take my RB7 out after fixing up my driveshaft last night and come across a completely different problem. The fuel line from the bottom of the fuel tank to the carb had detached itself from the fuel tank. Unfortunately I did not notice until I wasted a bit of fuel and it leaked out the bottom. I think it has something to do with how you need to tilt the fuel tank when fitting it that had loosened the connection so I played with the line a bit to give it some more slack. I will probably replace the line with some new tubing but does anyone have any magic tips for preventing them from coming loose? This is the first time it has happened on a nitro for me, I see you can get little clips and things but there is really not much space under the fuel tank to fit anything. You'll find that once a fuel line becomes detached from the tank, it easily slides on/off the nipple because of the oil content within the fuel that remains on the nipple and within the fuel line.
Use something like Isopropyl alcohol to degrease the tank fuel nipple and the internal end of the fuel line being fitted. Once both are totally free from fuel residue, the fuel line should remain in place without need to secure.

Each to his own, but I always secure my fuel lines after a rather expensive fuel line failure I was prop hanging above the runway at about 3m when the motor quit You can imagine the words that were said It was found that a fuel line came loose and since then I always secure them. I will try and find the photos. It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop

I found mine to be snagging because it went round the post where the batteries go. Not sure if this was per the instructions or not but that's where mine ended up. I undid this and the fuel line sits there fine now without needing a new tube. Got some nice brightly coloured fuel lines just in case I need them though :D Finished 3D Printer, RB7, Hummer, Skyrider drone & Combat tank collection http://www.model-space.com/gb/
