Just assembling the front wing and having a nightmare with it. So far, 5 rounded off screws which no longer turn. Am I missing something? Feel like it should be very easy. Building the MP4/4!

hi phil try dipping the tip of the screw into washing up liquid before screwing in, it will help the screw cut into the plastic regards Dan Built - MP4/23, Zero, Deagostini Falcon, Model Airways 1903 Wright Flyer, Senna Mp4/4. Working - Mclaren M23 1/8th scale to complement the Deagostini MP4/23 & Mp4/4 on the bench, Model Airways Sopwith Camel.

What screwdriver did you use? I found the supplied one doesn't fit the screw heads well, hence I would think, your rounding problem. I use a specialist set of miniature screwdrivers and test before trying them on the precious model...

Yes, I used the one provided with the kit, it seemed ok, maybe I will pick up an alternative and try the wax/washing up liquid method on the screws. Thanks for all the advice everyone! Building the MP4/4!

Ok so looking for an alternative but not entirely 100% on the size screwdriver I need, the guide in issue 2 says the screws are 1mm width? So do I need a 1mm cross screwdriver? Building the MP4/4!

the trouble with x crosshead screws is no one says Philips is 60deg and pozie is 50deg angle and don't mix and a hard pointed screwdriver will take the edge of a screw if the wrong one is used, a dear screwdriver with a hard head sounds great but over tighten a screw and it will take of the the corners off and round the head, and use cheap screwdriver and you will damage the driver if you over tighten, I rather buy the cheap ones and save the screw
