Hi all, I have just recieved issues 126 to 129 and as I am reading them noticed that in issue 127 stage 15 there are only 6 Belay Pins on the Forecastle forward parapet yet in issue 129 stage 46 there are 11 belay pins. There doesn't appear to be any instructions for fitting these extra pins so is the placement of these pins irrelevant?

HI Taff, happy to hear you are well advanced on your build and heading towards the final stages. As you progress through the instructions you will find they tell you to add the additional belay pins to the forecastle forward paraphet when rigging the sails. Have another good read of issue 129..... Cool Cool ... Also, use the pics as a guide as to where they should be fitted... Hope this helps.

Regards

Alan

Hi, Thanks for the help I must of missed that somehow. I am not that far forward in my build I am only on issue 114. I am trying to get everything prepared for doing the rigging which I will not start until I have all the issues and all things like external decorations and belay pins are in place as I don't like trying to fit things in awkward places, large fingers.

Thanks again.

Hi taff I agree with you 100% about the build order.I stopped at issue 116 and have just started again now I have the last one. The final straw was trying to fit the zodiac signs to the already fitted frames behind the fixed shrouds.

Hi,
Martyn that was my main reason for delaying the rigging, not even shaped the masts yet but will start that this week.

Nightwisher I had wondered about some of them belay pins they look a bit close to posts and a bit short in places but I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

Thanks again to all for the advice.
