 Very nice work Trev that Alclad paint can be a pain to master but certainly gives great results  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi all, This 1/48 Airfix kit has not has been supplied with a pilot, as the kit has two seats I thought I would try and make them. By chance I brought a 1/48 Airfix Lightning which had a pilot supplied, so I went about making a mould from it, this is the first attempt at it but not painted yet. Latex Liquid Rubber can be painted on or dipped needs about 8 coats.  Looking at the picture I think I will get there, the arm's have to be moulded separately. Trev That really is done effort you are putting in there and getting done good results as well. I remember using this some years ago and never got anyway to close to your results. I was trying to duplicate ( for my own use) sone 1:35th scale dragons teeth tank traps. Full credit to you trying something so small - sure you will end up with a very good result. Happy Modelling

Hi Tony, Just read your post to me I think this is trial and error with this type of moulding, the problem was the size of the pilot, so small that I had to make a new mould for each pilot simply because it fell apart, may be 10 layers on small stuff, I will be using this again. UPDATE:GLOSTER JAVELIN. Painting Figures. Painting Camouflage. Today I decided to try and paint the small figures which I will be fitting to the Javelin although not supplied by Airfix for this kit but I had one out of another kit (1.48 Lightning Airfix)which I used as a mould. Also I decided to paint the top surface in camouflage order, this I used an airbrush but I need more practice with the masking time will tell, so pictures below. Great stuff Trev, I was only wondering the other day what had happened to this build of yours and I'm glad to see that you haven't abandoned it for good!? 
Nice work casting your own figures Trev, they look great and well done on tackling the airbrushed camouflage, it looks great. Looking forward to your next update mate - don't keep us waiting too long, we need more aircraft builds on here!
