Depicted at being world's biggest 1/35 scale plastic model kit, though I don't think they've taken into account the 1/35 Dora by SoarArt, which is approx 3ft longer.

Over 650 parts including more than 90 photo-etched parts. Developed with advanced technology, innovative hull assembly method. Unique photo reference manual with historical notes and photos and color profiles.

A lovely looking model.

Am I right in thinking this was issued previously by Revell? I seem to recall seeing the crew figure sets some time ago for this one but the actual models had all long since sold.

Its so tempting but at the moment I am saving the pennies for the expected re-launch of the Airfix 1:24th Mosquito that I missed out on the first time around.
Happy Modelling

That looks a very nice kit and superbly detailed. I particularly like those mines and with the crew dropping one into the water off the stern, that would make a very interesting diorama!! Drool Cool ThumpUp

Think the Revell version was 1/72.

Will be interesting to see how the HK 1/32 Mosquito compares to the Airfix version

There's also a Big Ed for the 1/35. And turned guns. And separate crew figures.

I think I want to retire to have the time for all these great kits...

That is a beast of a kit, couldn't possibly imagine where I would put it let alone how to smuggle it past SWMBO LOL

Last conversation between SWMBO and me on the subject of renting another place (long overdue, we're missing a garden). She: you need an extra room to work on your models (probably something related to "please clean the kitchen when you're done"). Me: and a display room! She: sigh....

I read somewhere very recently that Tamiya are going to be releasing a 1:32 Mossie in the near future and we all know that Tamiya is synonymous with quality and detail? I think I know which one I will buy - just need to know Tamiya are going to release it!! BigGrin Cool ThumpUp

This is a re-box of the Italeri S-100 of a few years ago. It was 1/35, and was the 2nd in Italeri's line of 1/35 naval subjects, that included 2 types of PT boat, the S-100, A Italian torpedo boat, and a couple of manned torpedos. There is a gentleman in France who has a complete line of 1/35 plans to back date the S-100 to an S-38 as well. It is a great kit, and is freakin HUGE! There is the Eduard "big Ed" set for it, that corrects many of the shortcomings, as well as adds much more finesse to the detail that is there. Cammett had (now OOP) Mines, a life raft, a new skullcap bridge with the welded/sheet correctly depicted, canvas dodgers in PE, and a coupel of other bits. LionRoar has a complete PE set as well that also includes laser cut/etched wood decking where it is appropriate. Master Barrels has some beautiful brass barrels for the 3.7 as well as the 2cm guns. RB models also has barrels.

all in all, it is a great kit, and one hopes that it's current iteration as a Revell boxing sees the price drop a bit!

Kev/Mark

I remember now (oh the joys of age) they were indeed italeri offerings and not revell as I thought.

As you say hope the pricing may come down some.

Happy Modelling
