Yes indeed a very sad and very black day back in '94 and hard to believe it's 21 years already. I was doing some pencil artwork portraying Ayrton in the McLaren MP4/8 whilst watching the race and put my work down when the accident occurred, it has never been finished to this day. Quite poignant really I suppose, as his career was never completed either, so I was thinking I might frame it in its' half finished state and hanging it on my wall like that to see if anybody gets the point? Might post a photo up later if anyone is interested?
I know it might be seen as sad (in a different sense) but my son Thomas also has the middle name of Ayrton after my hero!!
Rest in peace Ayrton - you are greatly missed.
