has anyone recieved their latest issues yet? it seems to get later and later every month and beginning to wonder wether it was worth subscribing, i think they are already on part 28 in the shops, so am considering cancelling my subs otherwise ill still be building this ship when im well into my 90s at this rate, c/s are saying they have been posted but ya never know wether to believe them as so many other subscribers have had loads of hassle getting the parts. I think maybe we should be given the option to pay for a first class postage, what do you guys and girls think?

I was wondering this today as well - seems an age since I received my last batch, issue 18 being the last one.

I've been eagerly awaiting my copies as well. Did expect to see them last Saturday but nothing sadly.

The same with my parts 3 & 4 of HMS Surprise. Not sure what is going on.

Interesting I saw a copy of the Victory issue 23 in WH Smiths yesterday thrown in amongst the new gemstones partworks, Bonanza, and build the tiger tank.

As it was just 1 copy not sure if this had been extracted from someones collection box. What it did have on the front were about 6 pieces of wood around the same size as those false porthole cannon holders we have had so far.

Lets hope something arives this weekend, but chances are now I will shelve the build until we get a concrete answer on that Rib 15 query. Wondering if its worth asking Tomick direct about this problem? as he's well into the planking and could have more problems than those of us still to do this.

Kind regards

AJB

My subscription account informs me that issues 18 to 22 were posted on 3rd. it's now the 9th. Common courtesy should abound here. If things are going to be late, then why don't admin say so. 650 UK customers paying £700 = £45,500 income from UK buyers on Victory alone. Come on Deag. get yer act together.

Paul,
Ditto, I've been watching the post all week only to be disappointed. Money moves out of my account but nothing appears in my postbox. It is time that DeAgostini got its act together.
Its a bit like sailing. You pour a lot of money into a black hole and nothing comes out.

Enjoying the build and this forum but sadly its spoilt by Deag who in my opinion could not organise a p*** up in a brewery. They always blame royal mail, sad excuse cause every other company can get deliveries to you in a reasonable time. I really thought at the beginning it was teething problems but 5 to 6 months down the line i wish i would never have subscribed and will never order anything from Deag again. I just wonder if this build will ever be completed.

Fully agree with the comments. Surely the post office can't be bad in all parts of the country?

its already been said that just about any other mail order firm can get items to you really quickly so the fault must be with Deag I am sorry to say.

It might be nice to understand how the system is supposed to work (ADMIN - a question for you please).

Is it that the Deag head office produces a shipping list (hence the dates of dispatch showing on our accounts in this case for 03/09) that then goes to the distributors for shipping?

If that's the case then the problems easy to identify - its the distributors which means Deag you need to get in there and strat kicking some butt!

I received Issue 23 on Wed 08/09/10 as normal from my local newsagents. I don't know where you got your info about Issue 28 being in the shops from. I wish I was that far along.BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

Hi All!

This is turning into an absolute joke!

This is 2010 for god sake!!

Postie just been and still nothing!!

It certainly isn't Royal Mails fault that's for sure. I think Customer Services is being extremely economical with the truth, and if I'm being honest, starting to make Admin. look completely stupid aswell!

Admin. continue to be as helpful as they can, but I believe are getting false information from them which isn't helping anybody.

Come on Deagostini, wise up! Your name is in the gutter at the moment!

Berkeley.

I asked admin to confirm the issues had indeed been sent on 3rd of the month....they duly did by email this morning. They now say that the post could take up to two weeks to reach me from the date of posting. SOMETHING NEEDS SORTING I received a gun from Alabama yesterday......It took 4 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????

Nothing takes 14 days to be delivered inland if they are stating they were sent out on the 3rd.

They have lost face with me now anyway, I don't believe anything they say anymore.

Just a smoke screen to hide there complete incompetence.
