The Return of the Mo
Yesterday, 29 years ago, the USS Missouri was recommissioned for the second time. The United States suffered from a sequence of events during the 1970s creating a perception that the country was weak. In response, a program was established to build a six hundred ship fleet, led by Secretary of the Navy John F. Lehman. The entire project to modernize and reactivate the USS Missouri cost nearly 475 million dollars which is over four times her original cost during World War II.

I always thought it was a strange decision as battleships did not really have a place in navel warfaire.

But having seen the film Battleship and the Mo's ability to beet off an alian invasion i would have to admit i was wrongLaugh

You must be too young to remember "Under Siege" then in 1992 LOL great film and 2 Academy nominations but unfortunately not for acting but for sound.
