I am new to this so the query i have maynot be in the right place.

In Stage 44 instructions 2-3, a piece of 2x3mm wooden strip is to be glued to the cockpit side (AS SHOWN). My question is how far down should it be glued as instructions 6-8 tells you to cut 12mm wire strips and glue then you cut the wire in line with the edge. Surely I need to know where the strip should be positioned.

Also do any oy the castinging provided require painting before fitment as I am trying to make this model as authentic as possible with my limited skills.

I would appreciate any information that you could give me.

Hi Bill, firstly welcome to ModelSpace Cool

The wire pieces are cut 12mm long, therefore the wooden strip needs to be approx 12mm from the top as it fits beneath them, but first layout the other items on the board to get an idea of the spread of items.

You can see how the end result looks at Stage 53 of my build

The painting of the board and castings is not shown in the instructions until Stage 113 of Pack 29. How the end result looks if you want to get on with this now
