Link below for 1st start video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLxpEzOFJaM

I do have one question I had to turn the throttle trim all the way down on the control to stop and the back wheels still turn slightly. As you can see on the video when I turn it back to in the middle the wheels are spinning fast so I turned it back down. Can anyone advise on how I can adjust this on the car as opposed to doing it on the control?

Nice work getting the car up and running! BigGrin

It's the smallest screw coming out of the carb that will control the carb gap size on the car.

The one just below and to the left of the low speed needle.

I just ran the first tank of fuel through mine. One thing to note is during the break in process the revs will change quite a bit.

Mine was the same but after the engine warmed it was stable around the middle mark (on controller) without me having to adjust the idle gap screw.

Of course weather, fuel and engine temperature all affect this though.

I am using 25% Model Technics fuel.

Are there any official guides on how to run the motor in? Did i miss it inside one of the editions of the magazine?? Before this car i purchased a Nitro car from a hobby store and it came with a pretty descriptive guide on how to run the motor in. Are they pretty all the same? (i.e. can i use the guide from my other buggy )

BigGrin Hi Edy80y

The running in of most nitro engines is basicly the same so the instructions you have will be a good guide to do this, I have also attached the Kyosho PDF guide for this engine that also has running in advise. Scroll down to pages 4/5 for the English version.

Hope this helps.

CHeck your pull cord assembly. I noticed on my build at that stage that the cord wouldn't retract always. The little piece of string inside the assembly (where the knot is) need to be properly sat in its hole and not pressing on or touching the one way bearing.

Probably not the answer but regardless, if you have pull cord issues, strip it back to that point and take a look.

If the pull starter is tight and it run before then you have probably flooded the engine.

Remove the glow plug, shake the car upside down and pull the pull starter a few times till no more fuel comes out then try your start up routine again.

If the pull starter is still tight with the glow plug removed then either its likely the piston is jammed or there is a problem with starter.

With the plug removed, will the pull-start turnover the engine?
