DE AGOSTINI'S without doubt!
How many times would use a service that was supposed to be so poor?????????
Even if it was the postal service at fault, would you not move your business elsewhere if you had hundreds/thousands of customers waiting for deliveries every month???
The finger of blame points in one direction only I'm afraid!
Stop blaming everyone else Deag and do something about it yourself!
Berkeley.

Hi shipmates! If we are to believe DeAGOSTINI the problems with deliveries is down to Royal Main I don't think so, I've check royal mails web site and slowest UK parcel takes 3 working days not up to 14days. That's Second Class Standard Parcel. When we see Sent out on the 3rd all that means is order to warehouse to package the issues for posting will begin on the 3rd, not that the parcels are ready to be picked up be the mail service. Question:- How long do the parcel sit in cages wait for pickup from the warehouse after you say sent out on, followed be the date?. Darron

Question:- How long do the parcel sit in cages wait for pickup from the warehouse after you say sent out on, followed be the date?. Darron I have a theory regarding this. Presumably Deagos have agreed a contract price with Royal Mail, which undercuts standard 2nd class delivery. The caveat is this. The issues are signed off to Royal mail on the Friday now, as most offices are closed on Saturday deliveries are light,so it would make sense to deliver our parcels on a Saturday. It will be interesting to know how many of us receive our deliveries tomorrow! Having said all of that Deagos need to revisit their delivery arrangements. Here is a story. On the20th August I ordered, for my nephews birthday on Sept 6th, copies 1-18.The cash was taken from my account on 25th Aug. Sept 6th came and went. No sign of my order. I was assured by customer relations that the parcel was despatched on 30th Aug - a bank holiday - As I type this still no sign. It is a pity that the efficiency with which my money was taken from my bank cannot be applied to their deliver regime

Dear All
I'm sure you've all heard me say this many times before but I'll look into this, as you may or may not know I don't work for customer services but for DeAgostini's head office so please be assured that this will be reviewed.
I'm currently speaking to the customer services manager to see what has happened to the dispatch of issues 19 - 22 - I have said in earlier posts that should we become aware of a problem I will post something up so that you are aware, and I will be fully investigating this.
I know this doesn't give you an exact answer right now, but please be patient and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can!
Kind Regards Admin

The dates that appear on our accounts are projected dates, i checked mine on the 1st or 2nd to see that it was dispatched on the 3rd, yes work that one out. Some have been told 14 days again its projected, doesnt mean it will be 14 days. Think about it, they say 14 days and it arrives in 6. Makes them look good.
End of the day they will arrive, you get excuses from support reps because it sounds better than "we're not quite sure". Imagine the bashing they'd get for honesty eh. I'll save my shouting an screaming for the day i dont recieve something i have paid for (spigs however has a legitimate gripe), until then i'd take admins advice.

I think they have to allow 14 days delivery like any other mail order business before they will investigate. Disappointing considering I ordered a crate of beer and it arrived the next day - big heavy box! Still, I can drink myself through that whilst I wait.
My subscription is also showing that issues 19-22 were sent out on 03/09/2010.

Expecting mine to arrive in the morning, it always arrives on a saturday funny enough.
This is my first build and the way things are going i will never do another build by subscription, i'll just go and buy the kit complete.
Mine was also posted on the 3rd!!!!
Just recived a package from Hong Kong, only took 7 days to go around the world and in to my hand, where is Deago's depot! not Hong kong that's for sure, so why 14 days?

Seems to be a common occurrence here, I have only done 1 partwoks before and swore never to do it again, but this is a model I always wanted to do and thought I could put up with not knowing what was coming next, I can live with that.
These delivery are as mentioned many many times annoying to the point I will be looking at do the newsagent route.
oh well!

another reason also is the possible post office problems mentioned on the new about privatisation and problems associated with that, just another reason to look elsewhere for the issues.

Well I'm glad to say that this will be my last delivery from de-ag and this failing subscription. I cancelled a couple of weeks ago as I've had enough of the pathetic excuses and the recurring bodged attempts at trying to get things right, and if I'm honest it sort of puts me off any future subscriptions for builds. So I'll be buying kits in full from now on and plan on buying Mantua's HMS Victory kit within the next couple of months at just over half the price of this one. Anyway I'll still be around popping in and keeping up the latest news from you all and your builds.
I wish I were a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum, 'Cause how can you be grumpy? When the sun shines out ya bum!!
