Hi Peter, this one took me a little while to work out but before I get to the answer can I ask you to ensure you give a title to your posts relevant to the discussion topic rather than just entitling them with you name, I almost missed your post completely..... A pic of your problem here would have also saved me some time....

Without the aid of some pics and if I am following you correctly there is a slight slope to the decking, higher at the stern curving towards the centre. I would be looking to remove a little off the ears of rib 22, no more than 1mm to help you achieve a flowing curve to the decking, I would also be using the line of the gun ports as a guide, if you notice the gun ports should also have a nice flowing line rising slowly from the centre towards the stern and the bow.... The line of the gun ports gives you a good clue as to how the decking line should be..... Hope this helps but if you have any further queries then let me know..
