Just done pack 5 and noticed that the instructions continue to be wrong for this build.

They show photos of arms you do not have, ask you to remove parts that you have not unwrapped yet and the last two stages are in the wrong order.

They also refer to you have different rotor arms than the ones actually included.

I am guessing it is not just me that is getting dodgy instructions??? Confused Confused Confused

Indeed, Stage 22 should be before 21 then all works out okay.
My build for 5 went okay following this

Have you noticed in the photos that the arrows on the arms are facing a different way to the ones we have so far. I mean its not a big issue as we still have one for each side at diagonal opposites but it still makes it a little confusing that the instructions can not be trusted and that you have to double check rotor directions etc...

Hi Ken

You should have a left front and a left rear rotor arm assemblies. These are both added to the chassis in stage 26 as being left front and left rear.

Mine are certainly correct to the pictures shown in the instructions. If you can post a picture then that would be a great help.

Hey Warthog,

That is exactly my issue all of my arms have the arrow facing the same way. I definitely do not have one of each type.

In that case you have received an incorrect arm, ask for a replacement.

Ok well that explains the confusion.

This is what I have so far. I don't think its a problem as such aside from needing the other arm as I have effectively made both counter clockwise arms. I assume the LED's and everything will still be correct?

Do you know from this exactly what I need to ask for?

Part of the problem is that you are shooting ahead with build that you have not yet received.

Suggest you back track and work out what you should have and where it should be up to Pack 5

There's no where to "back track" to. All I have done is test fitted the arms and re applied the rotor guards to give an impression of size.

The problem is two fold. First the quality control of the booklets is poor (not really an issue in this case as it is a simple build).

Secondly the inability to post the correct parts.

I really do not know what is going on with Deagostini this year.

Perhaps they are expanding too fast and can't cope but its not the same standard as previous years.

Back track the parts you received with each stage to identify what you need as a replacement that you believe to be incorrectly received.

By the sound of it you have one arm moulding that is incorrect as you say you have two with arrows that point in the same direction.

The simple fact is that packaging errors can happen.

Sorry Tomick I misunderstood you the first time. You implied I was racing ahead when nothing in that photo was technically attached.

I know you are trying to help but with this and the problems with my 3D printer I am getting a little worked up about these issues.

With the 3D Printer I pre ordered it and talked about it almost daily at work not being able to wait to start it. Now i am nearly a quarter of the way through the subscription yet I can not even make a start.

I can confirm it's issue 1 which is wrong, which interestingly is the one in the vacuum formed packaging with the cardboard backing. I am just about to upload a photo so others can check to see if they have the same issue.

Hi Kenjara and Tomick,

I just wanted to say that I have had exactly the same problem (in Delivery 6) with the rotor arm - as I cannot build Stage 23. I have traced it back to the rotor arm supplied in Pack 1 which has the locking system on the right instead of the left top of the arm.

I have asked CS to replace it and I will have to completely rebuild the front right rotor arm from scratch. Hope the other 3 rotor arms fit!
