Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has any advice help with the following?

I'm very tempted by the black pearl ship that Hachette are doing. I'm a film fanatic which is why I'm drawn to it but the one main thing that puts me off is the missing side that is always open - can a panel be made to cover this?

I've also been looking at the Sovereign of the Seas. Amazing ship! It looks fantastic but it doesn't look like you can create any of the interrior parts just the upper deck and the outside?

Maybe the black pearl would be the way for me to go?

Anyone offer any help?

thanks very much.

BigGrin Hi Sheldor

It would be possible to make a cover for the side of the Pearl but it would have to be of your own design and may be a case of a great deal of hastle to do that and may not look so good. Another option for you may be the Victory as it has a cutaway section if you wish to put it in and the x section where you can really see inside the ship, Bernd did a great cutaway link below to his build and the x section.

Hi Sheldor, Welcome to ModelspaceBigGrin

As Andy says.it will be difficult to make a cover for the cutaway. The best way would be to try to create the cover during the planking stage rather than as an add-on at the end.

BTW, if you do decide to go for the Pearl let me know as I have a load of un-opened issues to get you started, just send me a PM if you are interestedBigGrin

Hey guys, thanks for the reply's. Stevie_o that sounds awesome. I contacted Hachette via e-mail and they said they are currently on issue 58 and therefore I would have to bulk back order 1-57 in one go which would cost around £360.00. They said there was no other way of doing it.

I will PM you though.

The victory and the Sovereign are so detailed on the main desk. Love all the ropes.
