I am varnishing everything as I go with a semi gloss varnish. Gives it that kind of just-been-washed look.

Hi All

Time for another update. Most of the ventilators are in position now. The Fo'c'sle is pretty much done. The steam valve wheels in front of the forward hatch are correctly not lined up.

Your progress on the build is great, love the pics, you have great attention to detail you have. She is looking awesome now mate. I love it in builds when deck furniture is added as it starts to look the part then.

I have made an oath that I WILL, no matter what, be using the photo etch bench set that I can get. This may be an excruciatingly tiring effort to fold them but it will definitely be worth it in the end.

So here is the first 3D dome. What a mission. It's not absolutely perfect but I am very happy with the way it's turned out. This is the correct Oval dome as well.

I am going to paint the deck beneath it white and then the dome black. I know it won't be 100% accurate having a white floor but it will sure make the dome stand out.

Well here are the completed domes. They look absolutely fantastic. The paint looks a bit thick but the photo is so zoomed in its surprising they don't look worse. Installation next.

And the next lot of etchings fitted. The First Class Lounge roof surrounds, the Deckhouse at the base of the 3rd Funnel, and the Reciprocating Engine casing. The inside of the Reciprocating Engine casing has been painted Black to make it look like it disappears into the bowels of the ship.

Thanks Ian. The dome alone took over an hour to fold. And that was just the first one lol. Definitely worth the effort and time though.
