I am busy with a 1:85 Scale of the HMS Pandora by
Constructo. The instruction manual and plans are some cryptic, especially the photos and pictures in the construction manual. I am having some problems with the rudder assembly ....
This might sound like (and probably is) a small issue and easily understood by experienced builders, which, of course I'm not. Pandora is my first attempt and so far, it's looking ok, with mistakes and all. I am enjoying the construction and have been working on her on and off for the 18 months, when time permits.
The rudder requires the use of nails/pins to secure the hinges on the rudder itself and the bottom rear section of the hull. What I cannot understand is how to fix and secure the pins/nails once inserted through the holes in the hinges. One side of the nail/pin has a head and the other side does not. How do you secure it and make both sides symmetrical? .... or is this assembly not symmetrical? Hope the words describe the question.
I have tried to attach an image (JPEG File) of the rudder, hinges and nails/pins but cannot find a method to do the attachment of the file. I have "ticked" the block that shows "Attach files to this post?". If the image does not appear with this post, please can somebody explain to me how to do this. Thank you. (PS ... I have also "clicked" the icon for "insert image")
Warmest regards.
Eugene
