 hi all im just starting to cut the gun ports do i need to drill right all the way to the back of the gun suports

Can I just recheck this with Mr.T ...I thought it also acted as a central position for the placing of false canon in the deck support so needed to also drill deck support.You may well be right Jack it is not the first time I have missunderstood . H.M.S Victory

Correct Trotsky, you need to drill into the gun support beams which acts as support for the dummy gun barrels, though there is nothing to drill into at the two bow gun ports either side, which will have closed doors.
