That looks like nail-biting stuff Michu?!! LOL Laugh Flapper

Nice work though and watching you do this build makes me want to re-instate my 1:10 Wells Fargo build which I started on here a couple of years ago. I think I will do that but I'm putting everything on hold for the moment until I've finished my Tamiya 1:32 Spitfire Mk.IX build first!!

Keep up the good work - it'll be worth the effort I'm sure. Cool ThumpUp

A very small update. I had to take a break from this build because the brass rods, that are necessary for many parts of this build, have been provided in the form of brass wire, coiled into neat tight reels. I spent one evening researching the ways to straighten it and make it stay this way and then I gave up. Again, Albion Alloys to the rescue - so I combined my hunt for replacement D51 bushes with the brass rod sourcing for my stagecoach, and spent half of the last week waiting for the delivery.

In the meantime I removed all 192 nails from the balsa strip I used to paint them, cut them all in half (took exactly one hour), and then installed into the wheels. I have no idea how long it took, but when I was starting there was still light outside the windows, and when I finished it was light again. But here they are, looking pretty :)

Sadly, that doesn't mean the wheels are done. They still require some extra brass fittings and painting. According to instructions, the painting (of the rim strip) should be done with shoe polish diluted with a thinner. We'll see how it goes...

Thanks for dropping by, and happy modelling :)

Beautiful. See, there's an advantage with the partworks approach. The whole thing with the nails would be spread out to 20 issues LOL

Lovely work on the wheels and nailing Michu well done, I do love a bit of model cart/wagon building. Cool ThumpUp

I reckon you spent about 6.5 hours doing that nailing if it was dusk to dawn?!! Blink Blink

There might have been a short nap in between... been more like 3 hours of nailing. Then back to bed. I know, unhealthy.

More patience than I've got, but the results speak for themselves.
