I have recently realised that I really enjoy working with the lacquer-based paints from Alclad 2 range and I was wondering if anybody can advise about similar paints (lacquers) but with a normal (non-metallic) colour range? I really enjoy how they flow, dry quickly and provide a nice, even coverage. Working with them using an airbrush is much easier than with acrylics, even Vallejo Air I'm currently considering the best don't even come close. Thanks for advice :-)

Hi Michu

Alclads are great for metal finishes as you say but the range that I prefer for most colours (also a lot more colours for aircraft being added) are Zero paints and are the best I've worked with. Link below, but be prepared to spend a lot of money BigGrin as they have some great stuff there for all your modelling needs.

Aww, I glossed over them several times but was under impression the are mostly for the body work for the cars. Probably without reason, just it's how they are marketed. I'll definitely have a closer look now, especially since I wanted to get some of the right shade of red for my Ferrari Enzo model. Thanks!
