BMM say they have an exclusive limited edition but don't say what the content is to make it an exclusive limited edition http://www.bmmmodels.com.../p1144420_14018989.aspx

Yes, I saw that yesterday and wondered what the extra content was? My guess would be a figure or two as per the HKM offering or maybe a piece of ground equipment? I have tried contacting them through their messaging service to find out, but it keeps returning a "413 Error - Request Entity Too Large" - whatever that means?

On the Tamiya website there is an article on the forthcoming Japanese Model Show where this Mossie is to be announced and displayed. The blurb says this...
Tamiya designers examined the real thing in great depth to bring you this highly accurate model. It features a realistic 1-part wing root section, plus an exquisite rendering of the main landing gear tires in plastic, masterfully capturing the compression caused by the aircraft weight. ★Wingspan: 515mm. ★Includes highly detailed depictions of the cockpit and bomb bay interiors. ★Nose-mounted 7.7mm machine guns and 20mm cannons are faithfully captured. ★Comes with parts to depict 500lb bombs, 3 crew figures and 3 marking options.
Looks like it is going to be a corker! July release is slated ATM!

Not one, but two 1/32 mossies! I think I'm gonna roll with the HKM offering. More options out of the box, and almost guaranteed to be less expensive. Plus, the one piece wings sound really cool. Tired, Old, and Cranky!

not sure if people are aware but Airfix are due to release 1/24 scale Mosquito in October, not been able to establish if this is new tool, but could be interesting. Jase “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

It makes a high profile appearance at the Shizouka Model Show....think it could well have the edge over the HKM version

I think that too. I really like the magnetic fitting engine covers and the friction fit cowlings. It certainly has a great deal of detail. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

I agree Tom, I think the Tamiya Mossie is ahead of the competition and it looks beautifully detailed. Think I'm gonna have to get one for sure!!

I have preordered the 1/24 one from Airfix that is due in October but the Tamiya one is looking so sweet I might reconsider... I have had this on pre-order (love the Mosquito) and it should be delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately it's my christmas present from my wife so after an initial inspection for any damage/missing parts it has to go away until christmas. Graeme
