Having valiantly resisted this I finally caved after seeing some of the amazing builds here so I will be joining the Sovereign fleet shortly.
I have built a few wooden ships before, but never one this complex so I may be bugging all of you for help as I build this beauty.

Hi there darbyvet...Glad to have you aboard!! Yes..The Sovereign was very tempting to me too!! I saw the first issue on sale on the mag shelf and couldn't resist picking it up and drooling over its contents. Each time that I visited our local newsagent, I eagerly checked to see if issue number one was still there...You wouldn't believe how relieved I was and then ecstatic when my wife picked up the first issue from the newsagent and put an order in for the then weekly instalments. You'll really love this build..Look forward to seeing your build posts..Enjoy!! Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

I think you have made a great choice with this one. It's a long haul but very satisfying when it all comes together the parts are of excellent quality. Enjoy. Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
