So that's how you did it so fast BigGrin .If you know any gangs of riggers you can send them up the road to my sovereign.

BigGrin Hi All

The rudder has been coppered and mounted using cast blocks as the hinges and the etch straps then holding the blocks in place, something close to how it was on the full size ship I suspect. After mounting the rudder it was time to start adding the side decorations this consists mostly of pre-cast shaped brass strip with two CNC cut walnut shaped rails, next it was the pre-cut hull stairway that was added, there are still two vertical rubbing strips to add here then its onto the other side of the hull to do the same. More soon.

Regards

Very nice, starting to see now why caldercraft kits are so expensive and sort after, especially in the right hands. Cool

BigGrin Hi Nightwisher

Thanks for your comments and looking in, they certainly are great kits, so much is pre-cut like the stairs on the hull they just needed a tidy up before fitting.

Andy,
This is just a great build to follow I know I have said it before, but when you watch a build grow like yours you become aware of the experience of the builder.

BigGrin Hi Trev

Thanks for looking in and your comments although I have always thought there are builders on the forum with skills far higher than my own but thats what makes this such a great forum as we can all learn from others to better our own skills.

BigGrin Hi Alan

Thanks for looking in and your comments and I agree its when the detail is added that ships come to life. I have added a picture of the stern bling to give an idea of what is on there. The lemon yellow depicted is supposed to be close to how the Victory was painted around the time of Trafalgar I may mix white and yellow ochre at 1 to 1 to get a lighter yellow but we will see.

Regards
