Hi guys, with only a few months to go to completion of the mp4/4 I'm wondering how exactly to display the model..

I have a base and can order an acrylic case for around 65 euro, however with the amount of detail under the body it seems a shame to have it covered up, I'v seen a body stand from deag jpn - not sure if its available anymore though?

Just looking for any ideas on how you guys plan to display the finished model Huh Confused

Cheers
Tomick

You could make your own cowl stand similar to the Japanese offering

Will the body stand not be offered in the UK? Or the Senna display case?

I can't decide how to display it either. I would like it complete with the body on but agree with your dilemma of covering up so much detail. Maybe I'll wait to see other people's before making my mind up as I am a month behind most people waiting for pack 15.

No plan as yet and is unlikely.

I've made my own replica of the jp stand as i liked the idea. Had the case made to the same dimensions as theirs too

Shame, there is obviously a demand for them here! I will be keeping an eye on eBay to see if a body stand becomes available. Definitely want to show off the detail.

Have a go at making one. I made mine from aluminium. Although it prob cost about £25. You could also get an acrylic riser as a cheaper alternative.

Due to space in my model shelf the body is going on the MP4/4. The case is same size as the MP4/23 case and two other big models going up its pretty full.

Sorry if my question sound silly, but I wonder how does the Japanese stand look like? Any chance of a photo maybe?? I had mine put in a cabinet, like this

Your display looks good.
Here's a picture I found of the display stand with the dimensions of the stand noted as well.

Thanks....

I see, so that's direct on top of it... I am not so sure I am keen on that.... at the moment, I have a plan to build some hooks to hold the engine cover and front wing as a backdrop, and planning to buy some 1/8 scale axel stand to give myself an option to display the car like it's in the pit....
