Hello nick,if you follow the instructions then it's the same thread you are using to seize and tie your deadeyes.0.15 tan thread as supplied.I just wanted to use a darker colour like the one I used in previous builds. I ordered artesania latina 0.15 brown thread from Cornwall model boats thinking it would be the same quality but it was terrible, maybe it was just a bad batch. Wish I had stuck with the instructions now. Have done another tier of shrouds and ratlines, had enough of them for a bit.Thought I would turn my attention to that pesky empty gunport,I never liked the idea of leaving one pair of gunports closed so 2 years ago I decided to put some infills inbetween the ribs here before fitting the strakes just to keep my options open.So I ordered a back issue number 125 to get more dummy canons (I tried to pick the one with the most useful spare parts)finally got round to fitting them.I also added some brackets to the gallery while I was in the area nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Have been working on the pointy end over the last week trying to get this bit done.Finished painting, shading and highlighting the figurehead (more like a diorama than figurehead)added the lion, that's all the bling fitted now.Fitted the carpathing trickier than I thought, kept sliding down the bowsprit, and finally the bowsprit shrouds. Next job will be the stays. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Beautiful Nightwisher, very much a pleasure to see.... .. Have to agree with you, fitting the carpathing is quite tricky but can be done with a little patience and care just as you've shown here.... Keep up the great work and keep those pics coming..... Regards Alan...
