Hi all, I am new to this community and I have a question regarding subscribing here in Australia for the HMS Victory. Is it to late or can I still subscribe? Thank you in advance.

I subscribed last year when the current issue was up to around issue 60. The bissett mags website is a bit crappy in that it will let you subscribe from issue 1, but I ended up having to ring bissett mags and was told that I had to backorder/purchase all the issues up to the current one in order to start the subscription from there onwards.

As the subscription for the victory has now been completed I seriously doubt you could subscribe on a week by week basis (even though bisset's website will let you sign up.

You may be able to order the entire series, but its quite a sizeable amount. Around $1800AU from memory. Not including the extra 30 issues for the cross section model if youre after that too.
Give quiche a chance!

That's exactly what thought. Oh well missed the boat. Thank you all for your replies.

Why does Model Space still advertise the HMS Victory through Bissets magazines when it's no longer available? Cursing (Back ordering forget it!)

Would you guys prefer an option to buy the complete kit rather than subscription, (all 120 issues for the ship build)?

if I had that much spare coin, I would say yes...

just a decent distributor would be nice... and some of the other kits that are available.. very limited here in Oz...

there are some awesome products out there, just not available here.

I would defo do the victory... and the yamato...

Unfortunately Bissett seem to be the importers and have a naff website and usually naff all idea what's coming and such..

I called them regarding the victory to find out they are almost done, and all they would do is backorder the lot and want me to pay up front.. then wait...

Would be good if they can be or are offered again... or at least the website updated properly so you can easily find out where they are up to with things..

Hi all,
I started subscribing for SOTS at issue 90. You are correct by saying you have to pay upfront for the back orders, but not all at once. I have been ordering 10 back issues per month from January and have received up to issue 70 except for 5 issues which i have been waiting for for some time. I have currently ordered from 71 to 80 which I expect in the next couple of weeks.
I have also received 90 to 117 in subscription issues.
I would query the need to pay for all back orders at once. the letter from Bissett says you can back order at your leisure.
Regards,
Dodger
