I have been drooling over these 1/4 scale bikes for a few weeks now and decided to order the Harley Fat Boy yesterday here on line. But the more I look at this beautiful Honda 750, the more I am tempted to ring Deagostini on Monday morning and cancel the Fat Boy and go for the Honda instead. I think it is the lovely red of this model that has swayed me to change my mind. I do like the Fat Boy and would love to order both, but £68 per month for both models is stretching my budget and I don't fancy a divorce. Laugh

Swmbo is happy for me to go for one of them and prefers the Honda, so just to keep her sweet as well, I think it's definitely the Honda.

I am really looking forward to building such a large model and although it works out around £800 for the complete kit, you don't really miss parting with a tenner a week, when buying it on a monthly subscription. I would love to see a Triumph Dominator in this scale or a Vincent Black Shadow which I used to have back in the late fifties. Hence my user name. Now I am showing my age! BigGrin

BigGrin Hi Geoff

Both bikes are stunning and great to build with top quality parts. There seriously heavy aswell when built. Whatever one you go for enjoy the build and that Honda engine is a beast.

Thank you Andy and Mt T. Just a correction in my previous post. I meant to say Triumph Bonneville, not Dominator, although the Norton Dominator would rank amongst the British classic bikes. Anyway it's definitely the Honda CB750 for starters.

I have contacted DeAgostini this morning (Monday) and managed to cancel my Fat Boy subscription and ordered the Honda CB750 instead. I was told that the first part of the Harley Fat Boy has already been dispatched and that I should return it when it arrives. They are sending me details for the return. My direct debit arrangement for the subscription will be adjusted accordingly, so everything is now sorted.

Hopefully I will be receiving the first pack for my Honda CB750, within the next week or so.
