 Hi ggladden if you look at MrTs build issue 1-5 on the official build it will help as you can build the keel without a jig some thing I do not recommend Hope this helps rgd Martyn Building ?

The one thing I wouldn't do with this build is try building her without using a jib or dry dock as its sometimes known and its very simple to put together. When you have a jig then you can start gluing the frames in place.  Hope this helps.. Regards Alan

Paul As I wait for my first package to arrive I've been pouring over the forums here, and I have to say I'm really glad that I picked this kit to start with (I've seen some truly beautiful builds on here), but am particularly glad I found this forum. I've seen nothing but helpful and encouraging responses from everyone here to the many questions that people pose. My first shipment just arrived! Feeling pretty excited to get started, but trying to hold myself back a little and take it slow.  I need to figure out what size L-brackets I need in order to build a dry-dock. I'd like to have those at the ready before I start... Hi Broven...I used 2 inch L-brackets for my dry dock, but I waited until I had collected all of the false keel sections and ribs before building the dry dock, that way you will know exactly where to position the L brackets...I quite understand how anxious you are to get started on your build, but building the cannon and anchor will help stave off any anxiety for a while.
