I just thought I would say hello on the right thread. I subscribed in SA on the 10/09/2010. I am currently building the Constructo HMS Victory, about half the hull planked. I have joined this build because the model looks to be far more detailed than the Construto kit. I intend to carry on with the Constructo in the time I have waiting for more issues to arrive.Right now I can not wait to get started.

Built: Pinta Belle Poule (plastic) Endeavour Scratch build of Pirate ship "Neptune" (Based on cutter "HMS Aldebaran" Current builds: Victory

Hi guys, I'm new here, just heard about the HMS Victory the other day and my wife surprised me with the first 3 issues !!! Currently I'm busy with two other builds, namely the Flying Scotsman Locomotive and the Lancaster Bomber, also weekly issues, 125 issues each, currently the loco is on issue 104, and the bomber on issue 24. I remember building a pastic kit of the Victory many years ago as a youngster. A few years have past since those days but I'm still young at heart. Hope the model building goes well for everyone out there. Oh by the way I'm a South African, living in Johannesburg. It's nice to see an SA corner in this forum. Well done !!

Hi, my first try at building a model of any kind. Watched the video and realized what a big task is ahead, but am looking forward to this.

Great to see all these saffas joining up. Hopefully it means we will carry the build to the end and it wont be pulled in a few months. I would hate to have the frame of the victofy - if that happens I might have to buy a fishtank and rename it to a lost ship and submerge it in the aquarium Current build : The Victory Pending builds : none - yet Built loads of bikes trucks planes and boats - all plastic kits. on wish list - a 1:24 spitfire, in wood, plastic, just as long as I can build it :)
