Well here we are, it's the big day and all the hard work has really paid off!Cool That's the good news! The bad news is I only took these few photos of the completed diorama before the flaming camera ran out of batteries! I've got loads of AAA's but not a single set of good AA's!Crying
Anyway, I hope that you will enjoy these first shots of the model and I'll be back with a lot more views as soon as I can
In the meantime however, just as with the Messines build, the actual building has once again outstripped the diary, so please keep looking in, there'll be a lot more to come yet before I've caught up!BigGrin

Happy Modelling to you All!

Robin.

Very nice detail work, looks more like a 1/35 scale diorama.Fantastic Love

I was going to wait until you've posted more images of the completed diorama before making comment Robin, but couldn't resist any longer.

All I can say is WOW!!! That is looking to be one very cool dio and very evocative of the BoB film I must say. So much so that I will be buying a DVD of the movie just so that I can enjoy the moment even more!!

Well done mate loving every minute of this one and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos some time soon (don't take too long Wink) - great stuff!! Cool ThumpUp

Grateful thanks to all the above for those really wonderful comments! Blushing Blushing Blushing Blushing Blushing
It has been mentioned that I should have taken the full diorama views first which, in hindsight, should have been obvious to me as well! All I can do is beg everyone's forgiveness for that oversight, the camera calamity was a genuine cock-up which I had to wait until yesterday to remedy. Fortunately, I did use the time to put one mistake right - I thought the deckchairs were plain coloured but a last viewing of the film revealed they were actually your Brighton Beach stripey regulars! Now remedied!Blushing BigGrin
Even better, the weather down here over this weekend was brilliant, just like the actual 1940 July summer so I was able to get the diorama outside and slope it up at 45 degrees to get some authentic blue sky backgrounds in natural sunlight!Cool Cool Cool
There's no pic numbers to explain, just run through and enjoy!

Many thanks to you all again.Blushing
