Hello everyone! My name is Eric, I live in California. I stumbled on this site a few weeks ago and I'm hooked already! I've glanced through the builds and I'm very impressed with the work of the community, so I thought I would introduce myself. It took me a while to make a choice but I finally settled on Sovereign of the Seas as my first project. Just ordered last night! First part build model I've done, and wood model of this scale but I've been a tinkerer and hobbiest my whole life. Can't wait to get started, I'll do my best to post my progress on a build thread, but I'm new to this whole forum thing too lol. Nice to meet everyone, I'm admiring all of your work from across the pond!

Hi Eric and a huge welcome to the forum. Great to see another SOTS build starting from across the pond and I, like many others look forward to following your progress all the way.. we're a real friendly bunch on here... .. For anyone starting out on the world of partworks then biggest piece of advice I would give.... study the instructions carefully, read them through many times, have a picture in your mind as to the task in hand and how you will achieve it.... above all, take your time and enjoy the wonderful journey you are about to experience in putting this girl together.... Good luck with the build.... Regards Alan
