Stage 24,The second electronic speed controller. As with the first ESC, mount it with a small roll of masking tape, until a permanent fix later in the build. longblade attached the following image(s):

Stage 26, attaching the rear left arm, ( assembled in stage 19).Parts received with this stage, and the fixing of the rear left arm.. As with the front left arm, you will need to fit the M5 nut in the relevant socket and fit the leg in the same manor as the front leg with the four M2 x 12mm screws from stage 3.The same procedure is followed as for the previous leg,. longblade attached the following image(s):

Stage 27 The ESC wires, (connection of) Starting with the front left arm, connect the red wire to the red wire, the yellow to the yellow and the black to the black.. On the rear left leg, repeat the process with the other ESC. To finish the mounting of the two left legs, take the two M5 screws from stages 1 and 7 and using the M3 Allen key screw through the ends of the arms and into the nuts placed in the sockets.. Parts supplied with this stage, the Front right leg Blue LED set.. this needs to be put away till a later stage.. longblade attached the following image(s):

The assembly guide also contains an electrical schematic of the drone, all components numbered as to the stage they are delivered with. And the general wiring diagram. Very helpful in ensuring you have it right..

Its going together very easily, though somewhat slowly, cant wait to have a play with it myself, though that looks like it could be very early 2016, as there are still 6 months to go......

Yeah, I too find this build a bit slow-going. Wouldn't mind being able to opt-in for a "solder your own circuits" option. I think the satisfaction with this one will be mainly with flying the drone, not necessarily building it - although I still hope to get surprised during the next 6 months. Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.

The BLACK nut,M6 from stage 15 is fitted into the rotor and the rotor, and the rotor (prop) screwed onto the motor rotor, confusing isn,t it??

Stage 30, front right motor. Remove the previously fitted rotor. fit the drive unit over the motor section, the magnets are very strong and will snap the units together, watch your fingers. Place the thrust washer and C clip on the end of the shaft as previously done on two other motors for the Left side of the drone. Refit the rotor to the drive unit and store till required. longblade attached the following image(s):

Stage 32.. Testing the rear right rotor. I know this sounds daft, because we haven't started on the rear right shaft yet, but bear with me.
The Rear right rotor should fit the Front left position as they rotate in the same direction. CW Clockwise. The Front Right and Rear Left should have CCW on the Rotor making them counter clockwise. If you have 2 of each rotor then you have a full set, and they are interchangeable diagonally. Front LEFT and Rear RIGHT will be fitted with SILVER nuts and Front RIGHT and Rear LEFT will be fitted with BLACK nuts..
Roll on pack 8...

They are good quality, and so far go together very well, I have no reason to think that is likely to change. There was a slight glitch at the very start, but all has been good since. On the homeward stretch now.. Bob.

Longblade, I am very envious of your wonderful build. I also have Packs 6 & 7 sitting here at home, however I can't proceed because of supply of wrong rotor arms. Both the one you kindly sent me and the one Tomick sent were incorrect - so I now have 4 wrong rotor arms surplus and require 2 correct ones! STILL WAITING!!!
