Hi all I've decided to do something different with this and it involves this It flickers just like a real candle and the other one is kaput so I developed a cunning plan so, off with the transom can you guess where this is going drilled out the windows then removed the rest of the window yes thats right I'm going to RC it, only joking, lighting up the state cabins. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Hi Ken! Beautiful work on those lights, it really sets off the stern a treat! If you have any of that plastic mesh like I had with the DelPrado (supposed to be gratings if you ever did!) you could try gluing it to the inside of the drilled out windows to simulate the leaded glass. Also, just in case you decided to add more lamps, Poundland sometimes have a set of three battery powered tea-lights with the same flickery effect - guess how much they are! She's coming on great Kev, well done M8! Hi all here is tonights update can anyone tell me did the banding on the masts go on the next section too, I cant find any pics where I can see that bit. Also on the side that is not firing would the cannons on the top deck be poking out the gun ports or be inside the gun port, I think Airfix made a mistake with one of the top deck gun ports as you cant get the cannon out of the gun port as the stairs are in the way. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Apparently not, at least according to Willem van de Velde.

Looking good Ken, think you're doing a great job with this kit.... Very nicely done..... .. As for the banding, it only appears on the lower mast sections of the main and foremasts.... .. Hope this helps.. Regards Alan

Hi all here is tonights update, I've tried to do the cannon anchors and the ammo boxes. also tried an experiment with the vac formed sails which looks most realistic Ken's the name modeling's the game.
