Not sure if I have a problem here. Should step 7 'prepare a 150mm long strip and fix it starting from frame 2...' mean that this strip lies completely above frame 2 - or should it be resting on part (or all) of it? Ten rows of bamboo strips covers all but about 2mm of frame 2 on my model. On the starboard side 10 rows cover all of frame 2.

I have read several posts about slight width differences of bamboo strips which might account for discrepancies but are still a little uncertain what the final height of the bamboo strips should be. Is the reference point the top of frames 2 and 27 or should I go higher than this to follow Tomick's and the magazines instructions?

Hi there SimonC...I think that you will find it alright as the bow planking will be trimmed in a later issue...Keep following Tomicks instructions and you won't go wrong...Hope this helps...
