This is a recent purchase and i have to say i was a little sceptical about some of the claims regarding its ability to steady your hand, didn't stop me buying one though However I have to say it really works. its comfortable to hold and somehow stops any hand tremor. The centre is a split cork to allow insertion of a wire connected to your figure giving you a stand and holder that will prevent the need to hold the piece.
only down side is it is limited to figure size but otherwise could not recumbent it enough.
