Thanks for the comments guys.I decided to finish all the shrouds before starting the stays, the very top ones are very fiddly. Next I added some railings around the hatch openings. On to the Forestay I fitted it as per instructions but thought it looked a bit wimpy,so after a bit of research and looking at the original poster from issue 1 (all 3 bottom stays look thicker) I did it again using 0.8 mm thread which came with issue 119 anyway, I also did my first bit of serving at the top of the stay and the collar and made a wooden mouse for the loop knot.I also made new fairleads with the correct amount of holes and rigged the crowsfoot all in one length. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Thank you for the comments guys,a bit of an update now, have been busy in the real world over the last week so haven't got much done just some more stays and the crowsfeet. No real problems here just had to make some little cleats to prevent the collars from riding up the mast.I haven't tied and glued any of the stays yet in case any need adjusting hence the loose threads hanging down. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!

Wow, what a wonderful, beautiful work. If mine comes out half as good, I will be extremely proud of her. But for now, I'm admiring your build - you are really raising the bar. And indeed, the photos do her justice :-) Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.
Happy building :-) http://www.model-space.com/gb/

Thanks for all positive comments guys,As for the photos I dug out my old kodak 4.0 mega pixel digital camera we brought about ten years ago ,I think taking pics outside in natural light helps, weather permitting. Hi folks. Time for another update, have finished all the stays. I quite enjoyed doing the Backstays nice and easy. Next up are the yards and some decisions to make, footropes or not, sails furled or unfurled. I am leaning towards furling the lower ones and having full sails higher up. I have been doing a bit research on furling looks well tricky. Any advice will be most welcome. nightwisher attached the following image(s): Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
